Whilst we plan, we want to hear from you….

As the sunshine seems to be hiding now we are in August I can reflect on the last month and what we have been up to.

I’m delighted that we are now able to launch our partners page http://www.ciprinside.co.uk/about-us/our-partners-201718/ and say a very big thank you to everyone for supporting us this year. Without our partners we wouldn’t be able to run our conference or our awards and we wouldn’t have some fantastic Ask the Guru events or Webinars planned in for the year.

The conference planning is well underway as we chat to our partners about the workshops we will run in line with the research, and I’m looking forward to creating a day that gives everyone a little bit of everything – workshops, case studies and sessions facilitated by delegates on topics they want to discuss.

Our events programme is having a little break over the summer but we are back in September with two Ask the Guru events – one on 21 September with Scarlett Abbott and another on 28 September with Ruder Finn. Details about both will be out in the next few weeks and dates for more events should be out for the rest of the year by September.

On committee news, sadly Jo Twisleton has had to leave the committee but I’d like to take this opportunity to thank her for all her time and commitment over the past few years. Jo was instrumental in driving our CPD campaign – you can see the video she directed here: http://www.ciprinside.co.uk/cpd/.

The broader CIPR #summerofcpd campaign has proved a huge success for us – our new #icbookclub is going well and our next chat is on 15 August – will you be joining us? I’m really enjoying the focus on my development that this is bringing and this month I’m learning all about cognitive dissonance – plus you get 10 CPD points for every #icbookclub book you read.

So, August will be a little quiet for us but we hope a little louder for you… because we have a survey we want your help with:

As we plan the awards ceremony for Q1 2018 we want to hear from those that attended in February 2017. We will launch our awards at the conference but to help us shape it this year we would love to hear from those that came along: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/InsideStory17

This survey will close at the end of August.

So that’s it from me for July – see you in September for another update and do get in touch if we can help with anything internal comms via our usual channels:

Thanks for sharing Jenni as it’s great to have visibility of the work the committee is doing and importantly opportunities for us as non-committee members to get involved more with CIPRinside

I’ve noticed a big change over the past few months with more content and updates getting shared and the book club is a great way to engage with each other whilst developing at the same time.

Keep up the great work and looking forward to the conference this year
